Launch day is always an exciting one for me. I still remember sitting in front of the computer logged into Instant Messenger waiting until midnight hit and the new 'structure' challenge was posted. One of my teammates and I would both hurry up and read it and then instantly start a midnight conversation about what we liked and didn't like about the Challenge and how excited we were to kick off the new season.
New challenges mark new beginnings and endless possibilities. Even now I can't wait for the Challenges to be released. I read them and think about the possible ways I might solve them, all the while knowing that the kids are going to come up with solutions I never dreamed possible. Seeing just what our DI kids create year after year never ceases to amaze me. Their creativity, excitement, energy and drive inspire me and keep me coming back year after year wanting more!
On this first day of the DI season I feel it is appropriate to start a new beginning of my own - Crissy's Corner! My goal through this blog is to be able to share tips, tricks, useful links, team builders, ICs and answers to your questions to help you and your teams through your DI journey.
This blog is meant to be interactive in the sense that I want to post about the things that YOU- WIDI Team Managers want to know! As Wisconsin DI we are a large affiliate and I know I can't reach everyone individually, but chances are if you have a question, someone else has it too! By answering these questions in a blog format rather than 1:1 in emails, I am hoping to reach more people and help as many of you as possible grow into the amazing Team Managers I know you are.
